A Persian Garden

Fabrics, fabrics, fabrics!  Everyone is releasing their new lines of fabrics and wallcoverings this week! One of my favs is Osborne & Little; pretty much anything they do is fine by me.  They are so fun and colorful -- a little unexpected, a whole lot of fun!   Their new line of fabric and wallcoverings for Spring have lived up to my expectations and beyond.  I especially love the new line called Persian Garden and the Louisiane fabrics by Lorca's Paris studio are so fun and gorgeous, and of course, Nina Campbell is always a joy!  Enjoy!

Gone, But Not Forgotten!

Yes, it's been awhile since I've last logged on, but life has kept me happily busy!  I seem to be able to log onto Facebook much more quickly to share my favorite images, thoughts, and events of the day - so please check me out on Facebook and like my page for updates.  I'll be back and blogging about the NY Gift Show - which I'm sure you'll see images of everywhere soon enough -- and many more fun things.  My most exciting news is that I'm working with Meg Braff of Meg Braff Interiors and Designs here in Locust Valley.  Meg is a super talented designer, whose style I absolutely love -- happy, bright, classic, and fun (just like Meg)!  Please check out Meg's page; www.megbraff.com and come visit us if your ever near Locust Valley.  We're updating Meg's online shop with new items daily and have all sorts of fun new things in the works -- Enjoy!

Art Deco Style

Falling in love with Art Deco all over again.....and NYC is a treasure trove to find cool items. My favorite spot here in NYC is High Style Deco @ 224 West 18th Street. I love the old b/w photos and James Mont holds a special place in my glamorous heart - no matter how wicked he was! Love those slipper chairs and the silver gilt console! Of course, how can you talk about Art Deco without mentioning the amazingly talented Edgar Brandt, whose 1924 metal screen L'Oasis sold at a 2006 Christie's auction for over 1.8 million. Fabulous. Something fun, Bradbury & Bradbury Art Wallpapers carries amazing wallpapers from specific periods to include Art Deco. I also love Modernism Gallery, who has a gallery in Coral Gables, Florida. They have some great finds to include the Paul Frankl "Fifty Dollar Clock" -- must read that story, and the Sabino wall light. Here are a few Art Deco favs from both local and online retailers. Enjoy!
