Spring is in the air and showhouses, house tours, and other beautiful events abound! One that is near and dear to my heart this year is the
Homes of Distinction house tour that benefits the children of 9/11 through a charity called
Tuesday's Children. The tour is a one day event that invites you to view five beautiful homes in Manhasset and East Hills here on Long Island, and ends the day with a wonderful 'Meet the Creators' cocktail party. The event is being chaired by Barbara Dixon, founding Editor-In-chief of ELLE Décor and features truly talented architects, builders, designers, artists, and more. Their invitation for the event says it all:
You are invited to be inspired... Hope to see you there next Saturday, April 25th! Here is a tiny, little, sneak peak of some of the fabulous spaces -- there is so much more to see and enjoy. Purchase tickets for this event here:

Tuesday's Children provides direct services and continuous outreach to approximately 10,000 individuals, including bereaved families and individuals, families of first responders, veterans of post-9/11 military operations, and teenagers from around the world impacted by a traumatic loss due to terrorism.

'Built to Perfection' - Manhasset. Built from the ground up, this Georgian-style
home overlooking the Manhasset Bay was a collaboration between Tom Fox of Fox
Diehl Architects and McNulty Development Corp.
Key to their approach was to construct a home that while respecting the
heritage of the village also offered a contemporary layout with every modern
convenience. Photo Fox Diehl Architects
